- We look forward to seeing you on 16 October 2026 between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm so we can celebrate with you!
- Earlier in the afternoon, there will be a bridal procession; if you’d like to join in, please contact Sevcan
- The venue is booked until 3.00 am – so there’s plenty of time to celebrate!

- How to get there?
- If you need help getting there or back, please get in touch and we’ll try to help you organise a lift with one of the guests.
- Who?
- Children are welcome! We’ll also organise something so they don’t get bored
- If we don’t know your partner yet, please let us know
- We’re expecting around 200 guests, so we need to know who’s coming
- Please let us know by 16 August 2026 if you can’t make it – otherwise we’ll be counting on you!
- How will the wedding go?
- We plan to hold the wedding in both German and Turkish. It’s possible that Turkish will be spoken more often at times, but not during important announcements
- Feel free to get the party started before we arrive – traditionally with a Turkish halay
- We’ll be arriving between 6.30 and 7.00 pm, and shortly afterwards we’ll (finally) open the buffet
- There won’t be a traditional seating plan; seats will only be reserved for the immediate family
- Wait, what is a ‘halay’?
- It’s the traditional Turkish way of dancing in a group, hand-in-hand, where everyone is equal and can and should dance with everyone else

- The style of the Halay is determined by the first person in the line and the music
- What’s on the menu?
- In the evening, a buffet awaits you, where all guests should find something to their taste – including vegetarians and vegans
- There will also be a midnight snack to keep you going
- If you have any other allergies or dietary restrictions, please do let us know and we’ll see what we can do
- Gifts, gifts, gifts…
- We’re naturally delighted that you’re celebrating with us and grateful for every gift you bring! However, we do have some preferences:
- Money is always welcome – especially as we’re setting up our first home together. Money and gold would also be traditional – but with the rise in the price of gold, we think it’s easier for both you and us to simply opt for cash
- Please no flowers or plants, as these wilt too quickly and transport on the day would be too difficult
- We’d also prefer not to receive household goods or decorations, as we either already own these or would like to choose them ourselves for the flat
- We’re naturally delighted that you’re celebrating with us and grateful for every gift you bring! However, we do have some preferences:
- Is there a dress code?
- Not really: just dress however you like – feel free to be colourful!
- I’d like to leave early – how should I say goodbye?
- Feel free to do ‘the Polish’ – that is, to leave without saying goodbye. It helps us make the most of the day without any interruptions
